Angry Birds Star Wars is a puzzle video game with similar gameplay to that from previous Angry Birds games. In the game, the player takes control of a limited group of birds, who can be launched anywhere by the use of a slingshot. All levels have a series of enemies the player must take down by the use of their characters. This game introduces a new way of playing Angry Birds: strategy. Right before a level starts, the player gets to view the level. Then, they are sent to a screen that lets them select the characters they want to take into the level. There is always a certain amount of birds/pigs that can be taken into a level. The player can always go back to viewing the level with the tap of a button on the Select Screen.
