SOLAR OF ALAMOSA

Solar of Alamosa – 30 MW high concentrating solar facility located in the San Luis Valley of Colorado.

Excellent irradiation at an elevation of approximately 7000ft

The project consists of 504 dual-axis, pedestal mounted tracker assemblies, each capable of producing approximately 60 kW of electricity from the sun. The trackers assemblies are 70 feet wide by 50 feet high and each contains 7,560 Fresnel lenses that concentrate sunlight by a multiple of 500 onto high-efficiency multi-junction solar cells developed originally as part of the US space program.
